MBBS Admission Slection CriteriaSelection Process

The selection process comprises of an entry test of UHS (MCAT), entry test of Aziz Fatima Medical & Dental College Faisalabad and interview.

UHS Entry Test

This Test is conducted by University of Health Sciences Lahore basically for selection of candidates for admission into the public sector medical colleges of Punjab. Entry test of Federal Board and other provinces are accepted.

Interview

Merit list will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in Matric, FSc (or equivalent Exams), UHS (MCAT) and entry test. Candidates short listed on the basis of merit will be called for interview, which will be conducted by a panel of experts. The purpose of the interview is to evaluate the personality of the applicant and the motivation level to become a doctor.

Confirmation of admission

Admission of the selected students will be confirmed only after they have deposited the college admission, tuition and other fees as prescribed, within specified days of announcement of the result. If a seat is not confirmed by due date, it will be offered to the next candidate on the waiting list.
Once a student is admitted in the college, his Matric, FSc and other certificates will be sent to the concerned Board / University / Institution for verification. If the documents are found incorrect the students will be expelled from the college and his / her fees / dues will not be refunded.

Filling the Application Form

Find out your unique Application Reference Number (ARN) from the college prospectus. ARN must be noticed for later use.
In application form the candidates must clearly mention their preference for MBBS.

Documents required

Documents required to be submitted at Admission office before receiving your entry test roll number are as under.

a)    Original Application Reference Number (ARN) {keep photocopy for your future use}
b)    3 x passport size color photographs (Latest).
c)    Attested photo copy of matriculation, FSc or equivalent qualification with IBCC Equivalent certificates.
d)    Attested photo copy of CNIC / Passport (for foreign students).
e)    Photo copy of CNIC of Father / Guardian / Passport (for foreign students).
f)    Copy of latest UHS entry test roll number slip (or Result).
g)    Domicile.
The applicant / Guardian will be required to sign declaration confirming that the information provided in the application form is correct.
After completion of admission process, the applicant will receive the ADMIT CARD bearing the applicant’s ENTRY TEST ROLL NUMBER for appearing in the entry test.

Note:    The college administration reserves the rights of admission and can cancel / reject any application at any stage without assigning reason.

Interviews

There is no Entry Test conducted by the College.  PM&DC as well as UHS have clearly spelled out that the Colleges will conduct their own Interviews and aptitude test.These carry 25% marks of the UHS entry test.(i.e 25% marks of the UHS test are replaced by the marks of the Interview and aptitude test).

Applications once received will be processed by the Admission Committee. Short listing will be done and selected Candidates will be called for Interview.

Interviews for the SESSION will be held in batches as follows:
Batch-1:   Interviews -date to be advertised (applications received till 30Sep)
Batch-2:   Interviews - date to be advertised (for the leftovers).

Students accompanied with their parents are advised to reach the College at the required time. The interview is aimed at assessing the IQ and does not have professional/academic poise. Students shall be required to fill up personal and general details and appear before the panel. Parents shall accompany the candidates during interview.

Interviews will be held at the College on a specified date and time by a panel of Faculty Members who will judge and recommend candidates for admission. List of the selected candidates will be displayed on the College Notice Board and those selected will have to submit their dues promptly on the prescribed dates.

Application

APPLICATIONS ARE RECEIVED ON PRESCRIBED FORMS WHICH CAN BE DOWNLOADED AS PER LINKS GIVEN BELOW.
READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY AND DESPATCH THE FORM DULY FILLED BY TCS ON THE COLLEGE ADDRESS. APPLICATIONS RECEIVED WITHOUT DRAFT OF RS 3000 WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR INFORMATION ONLY. FORMS RECEIVED WITH THE DRAFT WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR ADMISSION.
FOR ALL SESSIONS, APPLICATIONS ARE  RECEIVED  FROM 01 Aug . LAST DATE FOR RECEIPT OF APPLICATIONS IS 30 SEPTEMBER  FOR BATCH 1 AND 15 OCTOBER FOR BATCH 2, OR AFTER THE DECLARATION OF FSc RESULT WHICHEVER IS LATER.

Candidates are requested to fill up the Admission Form complete in all respects. The Form should be submitted and sent by TCS at the College address. Do not forget to write the College number i.e
at the bottom of the address on the envelope.
Please attach the following documents with the application (duly attested)
a. Matric Cert
b. FSc Cert
c. Proof of appearance in UHS Entry test/result card.
d. Domicile Cert
e. 4 Passport Size Photographs.
f. Equivalence Cert from relevant authority(for A Level students)
g. Original Migration Cert if the student is undergoing change from Federal Board or     another Province
The application should be on the Form included in the Prospectus. Applications received on Forms down-loaded from the Web-Page will be considered if accompanied with a Draft of Rs 3000 in lieu of the Prospectus. Applications are to be sent on the following address(by TCS):

Entry Test

There is no Entry Test of the Medical College however 'Eligible' status in MCAT of UHS is essential requirement for considering applications. To find out more see 'Eligibility' criterion.

The candidates fulfilling the minimum academic requirement for admission will be be contacted for an interview date.

Short-Listed candidates will be offered Admission, however the admission will only be confirmed once the Fee has been deposited in the designated account. Any Candidate who fails to or delays the deposit the fees in time will lose the right to Admission and the same seat will be offered to the next deserving candidate.

Final selection list will be displayed on College notice board and website.

Hostel Accomodation

Three spacious hostels with all services including boarding facility, for girls and boys, to accommodate nearly 600 students, are available adjacent to the college premises. Security staff remains alert on duty for 24 hours. Transport has been provided for hostilities for their clinical work in affiliated hospital.

The hostel atmosphere is clam, quite and conductive for studies. The security and comforts of the students always remains our prime objective. Two Generators of 200 KVA have been installed in the Hostels as a stand by arrangement in case the Wapda source of electricity breaks down. An internee’s Hostel to accommodate 292 internees has been constructed.

Hostels are supervised by Senior teaching faculty members.

      4. Security charges (Rs. 30,000/-) are refundable

Summer  04:00 pm – 09:00 pm
 Winter  03:00 pm – 08:00 pm
Sunday 09:00 am – 09-:00 pm
      1. In case a student wants to avail relaxation in reporting time, a written permission is to be obtained a day prior to the programme. The address and contact number are to be left with the hostel authorities, Failure to do abide by these rules will result in marking an absent and disciplinary action will be taken in accordance result.
      2. Hostilities desirous of meeting the warden can do so between 09:00 pm – 11:00 pm daily. (Except in emergency, when they can contact the warden at any time)
      3. First aid facilities are available in the hostel; and ambulance is also available if required.
      4. A complaint register is available with the house keeper. Students can meet the house keeper in hostel office from 06:00 pm to 11:00 pm daily.
      5. Tube lights are provided in all rooms. However, subsequent replacement is residents own responsibility.
      6. Unauthorized use of electric appliances is punishable with double the normal rates as fine.
      7. Asst. Warden is authorized to impose fine on a hostelite who is found to violate hostel rules and regulations.
      8. The Asst. Warden is competent to expel an hostelite who is defaulter of hostel dues.
      9. The cost of damage to the hostel property caused by a hostelite will be recovered from him.
      10. For the purpose of use of electric appliances the seasons are defined as under:-
Summer from 15 April to 15 October
Winter from 16 October to 14 April
    1. The charge for the use of electric appliances will be paid by user in advance for one season.
    2. Stay of guest in the hostel is not allowed.
